Clothes make the (wo)man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.

                                    Beaded Picot Shawl
This shawl pattern is knitted in the garter stitch (knit every row) with a simply elegant picot edge.  You may use any yarn of your choosing in any gauge.  The size is all up to you, a short neckerchief or a long wraparound, you and your needles decide!

You Will Need:
BEADS:  Select beads that are the appropriate size and weight for your yarn and project.  You don’t want to use beads that are too big and heavy as to cause your project to droop (I don’t know about you—but I’ve got enough drooping in my life) or beads that are so small that they become lost in the project. (51—75 beads.)

YARN: of your choosing that will accommodate the hole size of the bead.  If the hole is too small, the yarn may become frayed as you slide the beads.
Fingering Weight: 4 oz / 490 yards     50" wide x 23" deep
Sport Weight 8 oz / 735 yards            85" wide x 28" deep
Worsted Weight:  7 oz/ 400 yards     100" wide x 30" deep

SEWING NEEDLE:  small enough to pull the thread through the bead

KNITTING NEEDLE: circular 24-40 inches, appropriate size for yarn weight
 (ie fingering = US 3-4, sport = US 4-6,worsted = 6 to 8)
